Shelley Levine, a Certified Educational Planner, has successfully guided high school students and their parents through the college admissions process for more than 25 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, advanced credentials through Johns Hopkins University, a Certificate in College Counseling through UCLA, and is a Professional Member of NACAC and IECA. Founder of MATHWORKS, Shelley is a well-recognized expert in the field of standardized test preparation. She has written for the Washington Jewish Week, and has been featured in the Potomac Gazette, Bethesda Magazine, Washington Monthly and on WTOP. Shelley has presented workshops on the college admissions process for college fairs, local high schools, and community organizations.

JODI SIEGEL

Jodi Siegel has been working in the field of undergraduate admissions for over 15 years. During her tenure as an Admissions Officer at The George Washington University, Jodi provided enrollment decisions on freshman and transfer applications and also managed the re-admission and internal transfer process for undergraduates at the University, working one-on-one with both students and administrators to provide seamless transitions. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from American University and a Master of Arts degree from The George Washington University. Jodi is a member of the Association of Consultants and Counselors for Educational Services and Support (ACCESS), and a professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA).

Chloe Rothstein

Chloe Rothstein

Chloe Rothstein, M.S.Ed., served as Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Johns Hopkins University for five years. There, she rendered decisions on thousands of applications each year. On admissions committees, Chloe gained insight into how academic coursework, standardized testing and extracurricular activities affect admissions decisions. She also played a role in the admissions process of transfer, international and graduate students. Chloe has presented on College Board and NACAC panels and is a member of IECA. A recent decision by the Supreme Court of the United States quoted Chloe’s work in SAT Wars, a book about the role of standardized testing in the admissions process. Chloe holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University and a Master’s of Science degree in higher education from the University of Pennsylvania.

MICHELLE JACOBS

Michelle Jacobs, Ed.D., has a decade’s worth of expertise on both sides of admissions. She has been an independent consultant with College Bound since 2016. Previously, she served as Director of College Counseling at a local private school, where she guided 200 students annually. She also worked at the George Washington University (GW), including as an Assistant Director in the Office of Admissions, reviewing thousands of applications and recruiting at high schools across the country. Prior to working in admissions, Michelle taught high school English in Howard County. Michelle earned her doctorate in higher education from GW, researching how students' college search, choice, and academic match is influenced by fit. She holds a master's in higher education from GW and a bachelor's from the University of Maryland, College Park. Michelle is a Professional Member of IECA and has presented at national conferences on various topics related to students' college choice and experience.
